There are moments in the life of a church when prayer moves beyond the walls of a sanctuary and steps into the streets. March 28, 2026, is one of those moments.
Life Touch Community Church invites you — believers, intercessors, and every Christian who carries a burden for their community and their world — to join us for our March Strategic Prayer Walk. This is not a casual stroll. This is a Spirit-led, Scripture-anchored, intentional act of intercession. We will walk through our neighborhoods with purpose, lift our voices in agreement with the Word of God, and lay hold of the promise that God Himself has extended to every praying believer:
"Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance."
We are answering that invitation. Will you join us?
Prayer walking is not a new concept. It is a biblical one.
When God commanded Joshua to walk the perimeter of Jericho, He was teaching a timeless principle: feet in motion + faith in God = territory claimed for His Kingdom. When Nehemiah surveyed the broken walls of Jerusalem by night, he was engaging in an ancient form of strategic intercession — assessing spiritual terrain and positioning the people of God to rebuild what had been lost.
Throughout Scripture, we see men and women of God who did not merely pray about places — they prayed in places. They stood on the land, walked the streets, lifted their voices toward heaven, and heaven responded.
This is the spirit of our March Strategic Prayer Walk.
We are not walking to be seen. We are walking to be heard — by the God who rules over every nation, every government, every household, and every soul in our ZIP codes and beyond. We are walking because we believe that intercessory prayer is not passive. It is one of the most aggressive acts of spiritual warfare a believer can engage in. It is the act of a son or daughter stepping before the throne of the Father and making a claim on territory that belongs to the Kingdom of God.
THE SCRIPTURE BEHIND THE WALK
Psalm 2:8 (NKJV) "Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession."
This verse is spoken by God the Father to God the Son — and by extension, through Christ, it becomes the inheritance of every blood-bought believer who prays in His name. The word "ask" here is not a whisper. It is a bold, expectant, covenant-based request from a son who knows his Father's will. It is the language of confident intercession — the kind that does not beg but believes, does not doubt but declares, does not retreat but advances.
The "nations" in this passage refer to the peoples of the earth — every tribe, tongue, culture, and community. That includes Plainfield, Illinois. That includes your street, your block, your neighborhood, and your ZIP code. God's redemptive reach extends to 60585. It extends to 60544. It extends to every household represented on every road we will walk on March 28th.
We are not walking to claim real estate. We are walking to release the gospel, break spiritual strongholds, and invite the reign of Christ into every corner of our community.
A Unified Community of Prayer
This walk is open to all Christians in the greater Plainfield area — regardless of what local church you attend. If you love Jesus, believe in the power of prayer, and carry a heart for your community, you have a place on this walk. We are not gathering as one church — we are gathering as the Church, the Body of Christ, united in one purpose and one voice.
Structured Intercession
Our walk will be guided and purposeful. We will pray with intention over specific geographic areas, spiritual concerns, and Kingdom assignments. Prayer guides and intercession points will be provided so that every participant is walking in agreement and in order. This is not a time for wandering — it is a time for targeting.
Worship in the Streets
At key points during our walk, we will pause for moments of corporate worship and declaration. We believe that praise is a weapon, and worship is warfare. As we magnify the name of Jesus over our neighborhoods, we are setting the spiritual atmosphere for revival, breakthrough, and harvest.
Agreement and Unity
The power of agreement in prayer cannot be overstated. Jesus declared in Matthew 18:19 (NKJV): "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." When we walk together, pray together, and agree together, we are activating one of the most powerful prayer principles in the New Testament. Heaven does not ignore the sound of unified, faith-filled intercession.
