The Prayer of Nehemiah, Part 2
Studying Nehemiah's prayer sequence, we will discover a pattern many in the church have adopted: the acronym ACTS. A-C-T-S - adoration, confession, thanksgiving, supplication.
We will also discover a critical step Nehemiah took in his approach to prayer that yielded results.
1. Nehemiah displayed a God-centered perspective in his continuous prayer.
Nehemiah was in continuous prayer for four months before the answer came through.
Nehemiah 1:1-2 NIV The words of Nehemiah, son of Hakaliah:
In the month of Kislev in the twentieth year, while I was in the citadel of Susa, Hanani, one of my brothers, came from Judah with some other men, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that had survived the exile and also about Jerusalem.
